Location
The Hotel is set on the North shore of the Calle Calle river and has an outstanding view of the Costanera Avenue and river activities. Beautiful open riverside gardens, Marina and boat ramp, pool, tennis courts, boats and water bikes, shop and outdoor activities makes this an excelent location to enjoy Valdivia.

Reservations
A block of rooms will be held at the Villa del Rio Hotel. These rooms will be held on a first-come, first-served basis at discounted rates. Look under "Registration" for room description and rates.

Welcome Reception
When making your reservation, remember that the welcome reception is scheduled for Sunday, March 19.

Overflow hotels

At the end of this section is a list of other accomodations in Valdivia that we suggest. Be aware that although all of them are convenientely located with respect to Valdivia's downtown, there is no direct transportation to the from them to the conference site. None of the suggestions that follow is within walking distance of the conference site.

Hotel locations relative to the conference location can be seen in the following map (circle in green marks conference location, circles in magenta mark suggested accomodations).

Given the large number of early registrations received, special provisions will be made for morning (only) transportation from Hotel Puerta del Sur to the conference hotel.

If you booked a room in an overflow hotel, then:

• When registering on-line for the conference, please indicate under additional information where will you be staying and for how long. Also, when asked whether you are staying in the conference hotel answer No.
• You must arrange for accomodations directly with the hotel. (The conference local organizers are only helping with reservations at the conference hotel.)

  To be elegible for conferance rates you must indicate participation in LATIN when reserving rooms through the hotel website (if reduced rates is not honored then try getting in touch with Carolina Riquelme who is in charge of hotel reservations at reservas at hotelpuertadelsur.com).
